Connectivity requirements:

-    Your system must allow access to our servers at 61.31.65.174 and 61.31.65.172

-    Your system must allow access through port 8080 or an alternate as designated by FinAsia technical support

Click here to download our Network Diagram in PDF format.

The following message indicates that your system is unable to connect to our servers.  This may be caused by your Internet connection or by your firewall settings.  To access our servers, your system administrator must allow you to connect to our servers.

To confirm that you can access our servers, open the Windows Command Prompt (DOS prompt) by clicking <Start>, <Run>, and typing in: cmd

In the DOS window, type: ping finasia.tej.com.tw

If there is no response, ping 61.31.65.172 and  61.31.65.174 to confirm connectivity;

if there is no response, ping www.finasia.com.hk;

If there is still no response (some firewalls disable the ping command), open the browser and type http://finasia.tej.com.tw ; if Task Bar does not show “Connecting…”, the firewall is preventing access to the Finasia server and your Systems Administrator must open port 8080 and permission access to the server. Click here to download our Network Diagram in PDF format.

If your system administrator has opened the port and permissioned access to the server but you are still unable to connect, please send us an e-mail with the following details:

-    proxy settings (In browser (IE) Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections)

-    Ask your Systems Administrator what ports are allowed for internal users to access an outside server through winsocket.

-    Record operating system version (e.g. Windows 2000, English version)

-    Record Excel application version (e.g. Office 2000, English version)

After successfully launching Finasia, the following sign-on screen should appear:

If you enter the incorrect password or userid, you will be allowed only two additional attempts before the connection is terminated.

It is important to note that you should never share your UserID or password with anyone.  Not only is this forbidden by the terms of the license agreement but your session will be terminated if another installation attempts to connect with your UserID and password.

The following warning will appear if you log in while your account is already in use - either by an unauthorized user or because your last session did not terminate properly:

If you select <Yes>, this will terminate the previous session and allow you to log onto your account.  If this occurs repeatedly, please contact FinAsia customer support.

The following message indicates that you have requested data on a company that is not included in your subscription.  Please contact FinAsia customer service if you wish to broaden your subscription.

.

Should any repeated error occur, we may ask you to enable the “Trace” feature that will assist our technicians in the diagnosis of the cause.  You should turn on this function (<Special> on the Menu Bar and <Trace>) and conduct the same sequence of actions that causes the error.  This sequence and resulting actions will be logged in the “ProcessTrace.txt” file until the error occurs.  You should then disable the Trace and forward the file by e-mail to Finasia’s Technical support at info@finasia.com.hk
